After she came, I immediately felt so light...whew! The nurses cleaned me up and then it was time to get up (remember I hadn't eaten all day). I was shaking like a leaf. I passed out twice before morning, I couldn't sleep. I kept playing back the whole day's event.
Finally morning came and I saw my baby, "so this huge baby came out of me" was my first remark.
Then our Naija doctors came with different diagnosis, trauma because she was big and I had her naturally, there is a little swelling on her head, she crossed her legs in my womb so she has to see an orthopedic surgeon bla bla bla...jeez! All of these because I had a 4.3kg baby naturally? Give me a break please!
I was worried though, I even cried a lot....I kept saying Dear Lord how did all these happen? will my baby be alright? I googled all the different diagnosis and saw scary things that made me worry a lot more.
However, God showed up again, I prayed like never before and gave the swelling a deadline. Lo and behold, the swelling did not exceed the deadline! When we finally met the orthopedic surgeon he said to do an x-ray, checked the result and said she was absolutely fine...God is indeed faithful.
In my last post I mentioned that Stacey is a blessing to us. She is indeed a blessing!
I got married in 2013 and I was at the concluding part of my MBA so I pretty much didn't have a job except for a few makeup jobs here and there.
I finally concluded and defended my project few weeks after I got married and was very hopeful that a job will come immediately. Month 1 passed, 2, 3, ...7 and 8...by month 8 I had given up on getting a job and was working on a business plan but God showed up! I got a job in month 8, when I was already a few months into the pregnancy. Who would have thought a pregnant lady would get a job? That's God in action. Psalm 126 v 1 "When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream"
Few weeks after Stacey came, a new Job came for Bola and various other blessings. I could go on and on and on.
Don't get me wrong it hasn't been a rosy ride o, matter of fact we panicked when we discovered I was pregnant. So many uncertainties, fear crept in, what? how? Can we? what if? but we trusted in God regardless of our fears and his grace and mercies kept us.
Whatever your fears are please trust that God has an amazing plan for you and he will come through for you! His ways are not ours and his timing is always perfect.
